FAQ for hire

Do you allow time for set and close down?

Yes. We allow 15 minutes for free either side of your booking. Please add more time to your booking if you would like more.

Can we bring food and drink?

Yes. Please bring food and drink for your event. The cafe is open Friday to Sunday 10am-4pm, and we encourage people to purchase from the cafe where possible as all proceeds go back to the WWPF. Please be aware there is no alcohol allowed on site at any time. There are no facilities for hot water for either the actvity hub or the riverside.

We are unable to provide kitchen facilities for events. However during off-peak season when the cafe is closed to the public the cafe kitchen can be used Fri-Sun. It is also available during the week on school holidays and bank holidays. We can supply hot water for drinks if you bring your own flasks or containers.

How long can we hire for?

You can hire for as long as you like between the hours of 9am and 9pm. Exceptions can be made for later/earlier bookings. Inquire at info@wwpf.uk.

Do you do a discount for longer bookings?

A 10% discount is applied for bookings of 6 hours+.

Where can we park?

There is a car park opposite Trymwood studios. It is a fairly small car park and can get quite busy. It is also unavailable for the general public on Sunday mornings. We generally encourage people to park elsewhere if possible. 

Would it be possible to use the play area near the entrance during an event?

Yes. The play park is an unzoned area and is shared between the general public (if the park is open) and all of the hireable spaces.

Can we use the play park if the park is closed during our booking?

If the park is closed to the public you can still use the play park.

Can we hire more than one space?

Yes. We charge per hour, per hireable space. So if you wish to hire the activity hub and the riverside, for example we would apply two hire charges of £15 each per hour.

If you hire an indoor space, and wish to use an outdoor space as well that is possible, however if you want to secure the outdoor space for exclusive use then you would need to pay for the space. If someone wants to hire the space then they would get priority.

How many guests can we bring?

There is no limit to amount of guests (within reason).

What activities are allowed?

There is no particular list of allowed activities. However please see our T&Cs for actvities which are not allowed in the park. Terms and conditions.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your booking will not be secured until your payment has been received.

Cancellations within 30 days - full refund

Cancellation within 14 days - 50% refund

Less than 14 days - No refund

In the event that the booking is cancelled due to conditions outside of the parks control, no refunds will be offered. For example - adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, restrictions enforced by the government, pandemics etc.

Can we use the fire pit?

Yes, you may use the fire pit. Please bring your own fire wood.

How wheelchair accessible is the park?

We have a fully accessible disabled toilet. There are slopes coming in and out of the park. Once you are in the park is fairly level with no stairs. Some uneven ground.
