Fence vs Hedge

Imagine if every garden in the country was bordered by hedgerows! instead of the usual ugly, un-wildlife friendly, prison-worthy fences. Not only would a glimmer of the once biodiverse countryside be brought back; but also it would be astonishing to see how much benefits gardens and the local surroundings would gain.
